NAIMA I.Q. Award Overview

Do you have a customer who uses NAIMA 202-96® (Rev. 2000) fiber glass insulation in metal building construction? If so, your customer may be eligible to receive the prestigious I.Q. Insulation Quality award from the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA).

An Award for Best Practices

The I.Q. Award will honor selected metal building contractors who are committed to Insulation Quality, as a key factor in best practices, and building to the highest standards of energy efficiency. Additionally, the award will recognize the builder’s I.Q. in using laminated fiber glass insulation to achieve the highest degree of construction quality while creating long-term value for the building owner.

National Recognition

I.Q. Award winners will receive national recognition. They will receive their award during a special presentation at MetalCon International (Chicago, Oct 4-6, 2005). In addition, winners will be featured in press releases and trade articles, as well as in an advertisements that will run in metal construction trade magazines.

How to Nominate a Builder

Review the nomination criteria below. If one of your customers meets the basic requirements, complete a nomination form to tell us briefly why you believe your customer deserves the award. We’ll review your nomination. We will invite you to join us in notifying the builder if he is an award recipient.

Nomination Criteria

The builder must use NAIMA 202-96® (Rev. 2000) faced fiber glass insulation for metal building construction.

In addition, the builder should be committed to:

  • Using best practices to achieve the highest levels of quality construction.
  • Meeting the ASHRAE Standard 90.1 energy code.
  • Advising building owners of the benefits of faced fiber glass insulation in achieving energy efficiency, enhancing interior comfort, reducing heating/cooling costs and creating long-term value.

All nominations must be submitted no later than June 17, 2005.
