Rusnak Joins NAIMA as Communications DirectorAlexandria, VA (June 13, 2007) With an emphasis on positioning the fiber glass and rock and slag wool insulation products as the first environmental choice in today’s construction market, the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has appointed Andrew Rusnak Director of Communications. “We’re pleased that Andy has joined us,” said NAIMA President and CEO Ken Mentzer. “There is momentum to focus on the significance of energy efficiency and the influence insulation will have on a host of issues ranging from public health to sustainability and energy efficient commercial and residential buildings in North America and globally. These are important messages that need a wide reach.” Rusnak spent the last 10 years as Communications Director and Editor for the American Composites Manufacturers Association. Previous to that, he worked as a journalist covering energy issues and as a technical writer and engineer in private industry. “It’s a very exciting time to communicate the importance of energy efficiency,” Rusnak said. “It is the cleanest, cheapest, and most reliable path to energy security, controlling green house gas emissions, and conservation. Fiber glass and mineral wool insulation are products that could have enormous influence in achieving the world’s overall sustainability goals.” Rusnak completed undergraduate work at Towson University and was awarded graduate degrees from The Johns Hopkins University and Loyola College in Maryland.
