NAIMA Salutes The Service Of Dottie WackermanAlexandria, VA (May 8, 2006) The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has presented Dorothy “Dottie” Wackerman with a Certificate of Appreciation for her years of service to the organization. Ms Wackerman is retiring from NAIMA member company CertainTeed Corporation, a Saint-Gobain Corporation member company, as vice president of communications later this month. “Dottie has played an immeasurable role in helping NAIMA shape and direct our efforts to promote fiberglass and mineral wool insulation as an environmentally sustainable tool to save energy and reduce pollution,” said Ken Mentzer, president and CEO of NAIMA. “On behalf of all our members, I salute Dottie for her years of service to NAIMA and offer my personal gratitude for the role she has played in shaping and supporting a policy of a sustainable energy supply through energy efficiency.” Ms. Wackerman has served on a variety NAIMA committees including communications and regulatory affairs. According to NAIMA vice president and general counsel, Angus Crane, “Dottie is a perfect example of how one person with tremendous grace, intelligence and determination can make an enormous difference to an organization.” Ms. Wackerman joined Saint-Gobain’s CertainTeed as an advertising assistant. She rose steadily through the ranks to being elected corporate assistant vice president in 1980 and a corporate vice president in 1989. In 1998, Ms. Wackerman assumed her present position as vice president of communications at Saint-Gobain Corporation, the holding company for the U.S. and Canadian-based businesses of Compagnie de Saint Gobain. |
