NAIMA Welcomes Its Newest Member, Amerrock Products

Alexandria, VA (April 3, 2006) – The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) announced today that Amerrock Products LP has joined NAIMA. Amerrock is a newly formed Texas Limited Partnership managed by Lee Houlditch, manufacturing loose-fill mineral wool insulation primarily for residential applications. Amerrock’s Nolanville, Texas plant was formerly owned by Thermafiber.

“We are pleased to welcome Amerrock to NAIMA so soon after its founding,” said Ken Mentzer, president and CEO of NAIMA.  “By representing the vast majority of fiber glass and rock and slag wool insulation manufacturers in North America, NAIMA can continue to be a powerful voice for the industry.  Lee has been a long-time member of NAIMA in his former positions, and we are happy to be working with him as he embarks on this opportunity to lead the newest entrant to a well-established industry.”

Lee Houlditch, general manager of Amerrock, added, "I have been a part of NAIMA for more than 15 years, and I recognize the value of working together as an industry to grow market opportunities and ensure product stewardship. I am glad to continue working with NAIMA as part of Amerrock Products.”

Amerrock will participate on NAIMA’s Board of Governors and its Rock and Slag Wool Steering Committee.
