NAIMA Canada Appoints First Executive Director

Ottawa, Ontario (May 3, 2005) — NAIMA Canada, a trade association for manufacturers of fibre glass, rock wool and slag wool insulation in Canada announced today the appointment of Stephen Koch as its first executive director. Mr. Koch has been working with NAIMA Canada as an independent consultant since the association’s inception in July 2004. As executive director, Mr. Koch will lead NAIMA Canada in promoting its energy efficiency and environmental preservation initiatives.

“Steve’s experience provides a great benefit to NAIMA Canada members,” said Trent Ogilvie, Chairman of NAIMA Canada and President of Roxul, Inc. “His experience with environmental organizations and the energy efficiency industry are invaluable assets in directing the Association as the voice of the fiber glass and rock and slag wool industry in Canada.”

In his role, Mr. Koch will work closely with government officials and energy efficiency advocates on behalf of NAIMA Canada members. Under Koch’s direction, NAIMA Canada has recently supported adoption and rollout of the British Columbia Provincial Sales Tax exemption for products used to conserve energy and has helped the Association build a strong network within the energy efficiency community.

Prior to NAIMA Canada, Mr. Koch was President of a consulting firm, Marketing Methods and Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Technical Service for the Cement Association of Canada.

NAIMA Canada membership includes Cafco Industries Inc., CertainTeed Corp., Johns Manville, Knauf Insulation, Owens Corning Canada, and Roxul Inc.
