Alexandria, VA (April 4, 2005) – The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) announces the promotion of Charles Cottrell to vice president, technical services. Mr. Cottrell has been with the association for seven years, specializing in energy, building and mechanical codes and standards. As vice president, Mr. Cottrell will manage NAIMA’s involvement in the development of codes and standards across all industry product markets.

“Charles’ leadership has added tremendous value to NAIMA and its members over the last seven years,” said Kenneth D. Mr. Cottrell also manages the Metal Building Insulation Committee as well as all technical subcommittees for NAIMA. He is an active member on various committees with ASTM, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE), and the International Code Council (ICC).

Prior to joining NAIMA, Mr. Cottrell worked with the National Association of Home Builders and a mechanical contracting firm where he designed and oversaw the installation of commercial HVAC systems.
