NAIMA.Orgs New Design Transforms Website Into A Comprehensive Insulation And Energy-Efficiency ResourceAlexandria, VA (June 16, 2003) When the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) decided to re-design its website, www.naima.org, it had one goal in mind to make it an unbeatable resource for homeowners, builders, contractors and anyone interested in energy efficiency. The results are in. Visitors to the new site are finding a wealth of new and updated information on the uses and benefits of fiber glass, rock wool and slag wool insulations, ranging from thermal comfort to public health. Consumers are also finding information on tax incentives and rebates being offered in various locations for upgrading the insulation in a home. With the environment and climate change still front page news, NAIMA has dedicated a new section to Insulation and the Environment. Highlighted are the numerous "cradle-to-grave" characteristics that make fiber glass, rock wool and slag wool insulations environmentally preferable products for conserving energy and minimizing impact on the environment. The role of insulation in sustainable development is also outlined. A new addition to the site is information on Industry Training Initiatives which lists training classes created by NAIMA and partnering organizations to assure that fiber glass, rock wool and slag wool insulations are installed correctly to maximize the performance of the building or mechanical system, as well as to meet building codes and energy codes. Visitors will also find information on the many applications of insulation in commercial buildings, homes, commercial facilities, plants, metal buildings, and in HVAC systems. Finally, accessing popular NAIMA literature is easier than ever. The newly expanded literature library includes publications on product performance, installation guidelines, energy-saving tips, insulation needs, building code guidance, general health and safety aspects of insulation products, and much more. Many of the publications are free and available for immediate download. Printed copies can be ordered at little or no cost. |
