NAIMA Launches Online Fiber Glass Duct Board Training with HVACCHANNEL.TV

Alexandria, VA (MAY 29, 2003) - The North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) is sponsoring a series of online training programs on fiber glass duct board. The five show series will run on www.HVACChannel.tv from May through July 2003 as part of HVACChannel’s Installation Series.

A new show will be released every Monday in May and be available via subscription through the HVACChannel.tv site. The programs cover:

  • Fiber Glass Duct Board Fabrication Basics
  • Fiber Glass Duct Board Closures
  • Fiber Glass Duct Board Fittings
  • Fiber Glass Duct Board Hanging and Reinforcement

"NAIMA’s members are committed to quality installation of fiber glass duct board products," says NAIMA’s George Phelps. "This online training program is a great way to introduce contractors to the proper techniques for fabricating and installing fiber glass duct board and provides a good refresher for those already using the product in the field."

All materials for the course are based on NAIMA’s Fibrous Glass Duct Construction Standards (Fifth Edition) (AH116), which can be purchased online or by calling (703) 684-0084. To sign up for these programs visit www.HVACChannel.tv.

NAIMA’s Air Handling Committee Members are CertainTeed Corporation, Johns Manville, Knauf Insulation and Owens Corning.
