NAIMA Recognized for Continued Contribution to ASHRAE Research FundAlexandria, VA (February 14, 2001) At the recent ASHRAE/ARI Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) was recognized for its ongoing support of ASHRAE research at the annual Presidents Luncheon. George Phelps, Vice President of Government and Industry Affairs for NAIMA, accepted the Golden Circle Award on behalf of NAIMAs Air Handling Committee that has supported the ASHRAE research at the Golden Circle Level for the past eight years. During a brief interview after the presentation, Phelps said, "Insulation plays a critical role in a buildings energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and overall comfort. Our role as an association is to promote the benefits of insulation in designing energy efficient mechanical systems for buildings and homes. The ASHRAE Research Fund allows us to demonstrate the benefits of insulation with sound research and supporting data. NAIMA is pleased to support ASHRAEs research efforts again this year." |

About NAIMANAIMA is the association for North American manufacturers of fiber glass, rock wool, and slag wool insulation products.
